I compliment you on an amazing menu, your very talented chef(s), and fabulous cafe. I hope to make it back to Nova Scotia and will absolutely find my way back to your cafe. All my best for continued success!"

Congratulations to the staff and management at the Trellis Café for all of the effort theyve put into recycling and composting! The Trellis Café leads the way in waste management by using bamboo and paper containers for takeout orders, buying supplies in bulk and not buying or selling pre-packaged products that create extra waste. What staff doesnt reuse, they recycle.

"On May 22nd we brought our Mother-in-Law, Daisy, to the Trellis Café to celebrate her 90th birthday. We ordered the Tomato Braised Beef with Mushroom Cream Sauce on a Mountain of Linguine and it was the best meal we have had in a restaurant in a very long time. The seafood chowder is to die for. Kudos to the Trellis Café for the most incredible meal and service by far ! Daisy still talks about her experience at the Trellis!"

Your cafe is so quaint and welcoming, and the staff were very pleasant and engaging. The menu looked fabulous but what caught my eye was the African Peanut Soup. I had never heard of it and it intrigued me. It was hot outside and the thought of hot, spicy soup wasn't really something I wanted but I had to try it. Oh my! Accompanied by a wonderfully prepared sandwich I enjoyed quite possibly the best lunch ever, bar none.
...another art show in the ongoing series of exhibitions at the Trellis Café in Hubbards. Kudos to Wilma, the charming owner for
showing so much support to local artists.

"I am from Calgary, Alberta. Very recently a friend and I visited Nova Scotia for the first time. Not having planned out our sight-seeing tour, we rented a car and set out down the coast from Halifax and stopped at some of the most beautiful bays I've ever seen. When we happened on Hubbards it was getting close to lunch time and we decided to stop in at your cafe. What a wonderful surprise!
Inside, Trellis is an eclectic space, with decorations that include stained glass, real flowers and miniature lamps on the table, and walls painted in cheery coloursWe debated on a word to describe the room, and settled on charming. The Trellis motto is real food since 1985 and the bread is so good and so fresh, anything would have been nice on itThe best salad I've had in a long time.

The Trellis Café in Hubbards, within walking distance of the wharf, offers art on the walls, music on the weekend nights and good haddock too.

This little stop turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. I even bought a coffee mug as a souvenir of my visit. Would you consider sharing the recipe for this amazing soup? My sister belongs to a gourmet food group and I know this soup would fit it beautifully on her next event menu. Plus I would love to be able to recreate it! There is nothing like a great bowl of soup for a cold Alberta winter day - or any day for that matter.
The Trellis is a relaxed gathering place, with Wi Fi internet, a rotating gallery for local professional and pre-professional artists, and a low key, fun venue for live musicians. Its cheerful and tasty, and the front patio is one of the best around

Stopping by, unplanned, we had a wonderful surprise in the sophisticated beauty of the interior. Your art works are each excellent, and arranged to make a wonderful ensemble. This pleasure was followed by great delight in each dish we tasted: haddock chowder, chicken salad sandwich, chicken quesadilla, and Caesar salad. And, marvellous beyond imagination, the chocolate espresso peanut brittle pie. Many thanks for creating such a fine place to eat!
